One of our clients had just such a problem. Their narrow sound studio outside their podcast room was cluttered with a standard size work desk, tangled wires, and haphazardly placed equipment. To unplug a single device from the workstation could take half an hour to just untangle and get out. As the work desk was a piece of readymade office furniture, it didn’t meet the requirements of the room; it was far too deep in the narrow room, and too short to fit all the equipment they needed.
The client asked us to design them a custom-made work desk to suit the narrow room, fix their tangled wires problem and fit all their equipment on one desk.
To address this, we began by assessing the dimensions and unique needs of the space. After a quick study of their floorplan, we designed a custom, narrow yet long work desk tailored to fit the room perfectly. This desk provided enough surface area for their sound systems and computer setup, and the incorporated wire management solution worked to eliminate clutter.
The result was a streamlined, organized workspace that maximized utility while enhancing the overall aesthetics of the room. By opting for custom furniture, our client was able to transform a chaotic area into a functional and efficient workspace.
